Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - Contact metasomatic, magnetite rich rock, with carbonate metasediments. South of the trenches, foliated metagabbro and leucogabbro out crop. About 60 m southwest of the trenches, mafic-rich metagabbro with local disseminated magnetite and pyrrhotite is present. Further southwest, about 150 m are rusty weathering magnetite-rich rocks with layers and disseminations of pyrite. An unaltered, medium to coarse-grained metagabbro out crops nearby.
