Aug 30, 2019 (Nazha Sabiri) - Galena in a 50 cm wide carbonate vein, hosted by calcitic marble. "The vein strikes N.65W. and dips vertically. It shows a colloform vuggy structure. The vein cuts grey "Hastings type" limestone, which strikes N.20E. and dips southeast." ARV69, part 8, p.160.
Mar 04, 2022 (Therese Pettigrew) - "There occurs a northwest and southeast lode near the southeast corner of Methuen, where, in 1868, a shaft was being sunk by Messrs. Parker and Baker. On this lode two or more shafts have been opened on the eastern edge of the second lot of the first range, close to the boundary line of Lake. The lode cuts grey vertical calc-schist, striking N. 20 E., and is composed of calcspar and heavy spar, the former being of a rose or flesh-red colour, in which there is a good show of galena. The average width of the lode is about eighteen inches, and it has been traced in a southeasterly direction for nearly three miles into Marmora." (Uglow, 1916)
