Access Description: Quarry is located between McCrae and Gunter on the Weslemkoon road, E of Hwy 62 and 50 Km S of Bancroft.
1963 : Grenville Marble Co carried out prospecting - drilling and exploratory quarrying - and shipped 12 cu yds of marble to Port Hope. 1986 : U. Kretschmar / Canadian Shield Stone Products re-examined the property. There is a pit on the E side of the Weslemkoon Lake road in the NE part of lot 19, con 7 and a stripped area, about 370 ft long, on the lower slope of a hill rising about 50 ft above the W shore of Shaw Lake. In 1963 a small quarry face was opened for about 100 ft near the N end of the stripped area.
