Site Visit Information

Date: Jul 19, 2011

Geologist: P LeBaron

Notes: The deposit was visited on July 19, 2011. The shaft referred to in Wells (1902) was not located but a rock pile, with a location that corresponds well to the shaft location given in the reports, appears to be composed of waste rock from mining activity. The rocks consist of biotite-rich metasediments containing a few rusty quartz veins up to several cm wide. One seam of arsenopyrite about 5mm wide was observed in quartz-feldspar-biotite schist. Three samples were taken and assayed for gold and silver content by the OGS Geoscience Laboratories (fire assay).
