Access Description: Access may be gained by taking highway 62 north of Madoc some 48 km to route 620. Continue west on 620 turning north at Coe Hill on a secondary road, and continue some 4.4 km to Deception Lake. At this point a road swings south for 2.3 km to the general area.
1986: As part of the building stone inventory project, the Wollaston Granite was sampled at lot 21, concession XV (OFR 5706, p. 449) 1994, 1995: Ralph Stewart performed geological mapping, extraction, cutting and polishing of granite slabs on claim no. 1150573. (Res. Geol. Assessment File #11, 12; 2.16169).

Aug 27, 2024 (Nazha Sabiri) - The marbles close to the granite are highly silicified, and contain wollastonite. Sample 91-54 was evaluated in thin section, and short crystals of wollastonite make up 20% of the minerals present (File 31F07SW0001).
