Geological Age: Mesoproterozoic
Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - The property is underlain by metavolcanics, locally interlayered with metasediments. A broad N-NE trending zone of shearing (the Moira River Shear Zone) is developed within the mafic metavolcanics. Rocks within the deformation zone are weakly -strongly Fe-carbonate altered. There are 2 styles of mineralization : quartz veins and silica-Fe-carbonate +/- sericite replacement zones with disseminated to stringer sulphide mineralization.
