Access Description: It can be reached from the gravel access road to Gilmour and Gunter which joins Hwy 62 about 36 road kms north of Madoc. The occurrence is accessible by a vehicle trail 300m southeast from the Gilmour access road, at a point east of the north end of Wadsworth Lake, 6 road km northeast of Gilmour.
Early 1900's: Wadsworth Lake Mining Company opened up 5 pits and a number of trenches. Early 1950's: Stratmat Mines Limed carried out a geophysical survey and completed an unspecified amount of drilling. 1958-60: Mr. V.A. McMurray excavated 2 pits at the north part of the occurrence and completed an unspecified amount of diamond drilling. 1962: Macassa Gold Mines Limited completed 310 feet of diamond drilling in the rusty schist zone. An option on the mining rights to the property was held by Mr. V.A. McMurray.
