Point Location Description: Geochem symbol ' 6 ' just E of Little Mississagagon Lake.

Location Method: Conversion from MDI

Access Description: Accessible by foot 1/4 ml N of Hwy 506 about 11/2 ml W of Fernleigh. Also, by boat on Little Mississagagon Lake to the N shore.



Exploration History

1983: G Pearse staked the area for muscovite potential, but since base metals were known to be related to the fault zone carrying the muscovite, geology, geochem and geophysical surveys were carried out. 1985: St. Joseph Explorations Ltd. optioned the claim and conducted geophysical work.

Apr 15, 2021 (Sheree Hinz) - A band of muscovite schist in the Clyde-Fernleigh Fault Zone is of interest primarily for its muscovite content (with by-products kyanite, garnet and staurolite).
