Access Description: Accessible via an old bush road running S from the Weslemkoon Lake road, about 22 Km E of Gunter. This requires a 4WD vehicle.



Exploration History

1982 : A. Dubblestein and M. Dubblestein held the property which consisted of 4 claims. Canada Talc Industries Limited diamond drilled 2 holes ( 381 ft ). Some surface stripping by A. Dubblestein.

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (D Laidlaw) - STONE DESCRIPTION: The stone contains 30 to 60 percent talc (fine- to medium-grained flakes), abundant tremolite, minor anthophyllite and dolomite as well as 10 percent iron- titanium oxide minerals (Lumbers 1968). Dillon and Barron (1982) describe the stone as medium-grained, medium to buff, grey-green rocks which are massive to poorly foliated. They contain 10 to 30 percent talc with anthophyllite, chlorite, tremolite and dolomite as accessory minerals.
