Point Location Description: Point 2.75 km SE of Massanoga.
Location Method: Conversion from MDI
1890 : some small muscovite deposits were worked by Smith and Lacey, but there are no specific locations. 1912 : a pegmatite was worked for mica on lot 1, con 5 and 6 by Smith and Lacey. A ' fair quantity ' is said to have been produced. Later, the property was held by the Loughbouough Mining Co Ltd, who also held lots 5, 6 and 7 in con 6. Mica is reported on all these lots.

Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - The muscovite mica mined by Smith and Lacey in Effingham was said to be pure white, of high grade and used in stoves.
