Location Method: Conversion from MDI

Access Description: Road intersection 1 km south of north township boundary and 3 km east of west township boundary.



Exploration History

1936: Limited amount of trenching and test-pitting by unknown operator. 1963: Natto Mining Corporation optioned the property from Dr. C. Emery and carried out a preliminary property assessment. 5 chip samples were assayed for gold with significant results. 5 pits and a number of intermediated trenches are located on the south side vein. The north vein was trenched at 50 foot intervals for 450 feet. (OFR 5548, p 290) 1988: Homestake Mineral Development Company performed geological and soil geochemical surveys, stripping, trenching, and rock sampling (OFR 5808, p32). 1990-91: Rio Algom Exploration Ltd. diamond drilled 17 holes (MP161, p. 381).

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (D Laidlaw) - Main auriferous zone (pseudo-granite conglomerate), up to 8 g/t Au over 3 to 4 m. In dolomitic marble, hematitic quartz veins assayed up to 10 g/t Au over 1.5 m (MP 161, p381).
