Lithology Comments

Feb 26, 2021 (Sheree Hinz) - The deposit is a band of relatively pure, fine grained, grey, dolomitic marble varying in width from about 50 to 200 m, striking about 60 degrees and dipping 75 to 85 degrees south. It is flanked to the north and south by grey dolomitic marble containing from 5 to over 50% siliceous clots and veins, predominantly composed of tremolite and quartz.

Mineralization Comments

Feb 26, 2021 (Sheree Hinz) - Grey banding in the marbles is caused by minor amounts of very fine graphite as inclusions in the carbonate grains. Two samples (OFR5712, p. 61) were analysed and the results indicate the rocks to be high-purity dolomite with low brightness.
