Lithology Comments

May 28, 2021 (Sheree Hinz) - White to grey marble with minor graphite, phlogopite, quartz and plagioclase. This sample was taken from a northeast-trending marble belt which is located at Malcolm Lake. It is part of a 1-1.5 km wide belt. Most of the samples taken from this marble belt contain relatively high contents of A12O3 and SiO2. Dolomitic marble samples from this belt also contain high amounts of impurities. Trace and metallic element contents are at or below background levels for marble
