Sep 16, 2015 (A Wilson) - Limestone was quarried from a 2 m thick section of the March Formation. The limestone is very sandy and somewhat argillaceous. The material was quarried for road metal.
Sep 16, 2015 (A Wilson) - A chemical analysis yielded 37.4% SiO2, 1.14% Fe2O3, 1.99% Al2O3, 0.58% Ca3(PO4)2 0.58%, 44.84 CaCO3, 13.30% MgCO3, S 0.03%, 25.42% CaO and 6.36% MgO.
