Aug 08, 2016 (A Wilson) - The formation consists of interbedded quartz sandstone, sandy dolostone, and dolostone. There is a net upward decrease in sand content. The sandy dolostone and dolostone beds are fine crystalline and weather light grey to brownish grey. The sand grains in the sandy dolostone are coarse. All rock units are thin to thick bedded. The March Formation is up to 4 m in thickness.
