Access Description: This quarry is located 1 km north of Smiths Falls, just east of Highway 15.
1962: Ontario Building Materials Limited - in production. Before 1964 - Ontario Building Materials Limited operated this quarry, providing crushed stone for local construction projects. The quarry also produced sand-lime bricks.

Feb 21, 2013 (A Wilson) - The quarry was in production for only a short while in 1962. Beds of dolomite were encountered in the sandstone section at this quarry. The sandstone is described as being light grey in colour, reddish brown weathering, medium grained and non calcareous. The sandy dolostone is light brownish grey, finely crystalline, medium to coarse grained. The March Formation is described as being light grey in colour, reddish brown weathering, medium-grained and non-calcareous.
Feb 21, 2013 (A Wilson) - The sandstone had an analysis of 72.75% SiO2, Al2O3 1.86%, Fe2O3 1.28%, CaO 11.07%, MgO 0.95%.
