Sample # 168 was taken from several small pits from which limestone for making lime was, ' at one time ', obtained.

Aug 09, 2016 (C Papertzian) - Exceedingly coarse-grained, bluish-white marble containing mica, graphite and silicates is exposed on the N 1/2 of lot 25. Sample # 168 was taken from old lime pits (on lot 25, con 8 ?).

Aug 09, 2016 (A Wilson) - Calcite marble is flaked with mica and graphite and containing grains of various silicate minerals is exposed on the north half of lot 25 concession 8.
Sep 17, 2015 (A Wilson) - The chemical analysis of the sample was 3.30% SiO2, 0.2% Fe2O3, 0.08% Al2O3, 0.04% Ca3(PO4)2, 98.09% CaCO3, 0.71% MgCO3, 53.83% CaO, and 0.34 MgO.
