Sep 16, 2015 (A Wilson) - Sample # 1725 was representative of beds 4 ft. thick which had been worked for building stone. They were fairly white in the top 4 ft. and a rich golden yellow below. This deposit extends over several lots and # 2011 was taken on the north half of the lot. Here the beds are flat-lying and 6-18 inches thick. Exposure in the area was limited and most of that seen was pitted and iron-stained.

Aug 04, 2016 (A Wilson) - The chemical analysis of the samples were 97.62% SiO2, 0.34% Fe2O3, 0.48% Al2O3, 0.34% CaO, 0.18% MgO (#1725) and 96.54% SiO2, 0.57% Fe2O3, 2.08% Al2O3 and 0.55% CaO (#2011).
