Access Description: Travel west from Perth for 0.5 mile and turn right onto the Lanark [ Calabogie ] road. Drive to Balderson and turn left at the main crossroad. Drive 1.6 miles to Bells Corners and turn right, drive 1.0 mile and turn left; drive 0.7 mile to the school on your right. Turn right and drive 1.0 mile to the mine in the hill on your left.

Sep 08, 2016 (A Wilson) - The deposit consists of a large pegmatite mass, most of which exhibits a medium to fine-grained graphic granite character and contains rusty zones. Shipments are stated to have consisted mostly of a No. 2 grade of spar.

Mineralization Comments

Sep 08, 2016 (A Wilson) - Pink feldspar, white quartz, and mica are the chief constituents of the pegmatite. Pink peristerite is common. Patches of black tourmaline, light green epidote, bastnaesite and some magnetite occur in the pegmatite.
