Access Description: Bass Lake is a large lake, occupying much of lots 23-28, con 3-4. It is about 8 miles southwest of Smiths Falls.





Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - Marl underlies Bass Lake and is 3-4 ft thick. The exact extent is unknown (1902). The lake bottom does not appear to be obviously marly. Ther are cottages along the E side.

Lithology Comments

Sep 16, 2015 (A Wilson) - Marl underlies Bass Lake and is 3-4 ft thick. The exact extent is unknown (1902). The lake bottom does not appear to be obviously marly. There are cottages along the east side. Marl is found underlying portions of Bass Lake, of a thickness ranging from 3 to 4 feet, but the exact extent of the deposit is not known. The extent of the deposit was estimated to cover 25 acres with a depth of 15 feet.
