Mineralization Comments

Sep 08, 2015 (A Wilson) - Perthite and quartz are the main constituents of the dyke. Accessory minerals include: greenish black pyroxene, chlorite and magnetite. The prescence of these dark minerals precludes the use of much of the perthite as a gemstone . The perthite, an intergrowth of colourless plagioclase and flesh pink microcline, exhibits the characteristic laminated structure.
