Mineralization Comments

Sep 14, 2015 (A Wilson) - A sample assayed 64.90% Fe, 0.007% P, 0.120% S, and 1.03% TiO2. The magnetite is reportedly found in veins within the bedrock. The percentage of metallic iron was 64.90%. The insoluble residue was chiefly white quartz with a little black mica and green pyroxene. The specimen is described as "bright crystalline magnetite, free from any visible pyrites but containing some sulphur." Up to 100 tons of material may have been excavated from the pit
