Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - Red granite.

Feb 26, 2024 (Nazha Sabiri) - The northerly trending pegmatite dykes do not exhibit any alteration, they vary in width from 20 centimetres up to 0.6 metre and they cut both granitic and metavolcanics units.

Lithology

Lithology Data
Rock Type Rank Composition Texture Relationship
Granite 1 Leucogranite Is
Limestone 2 Clastic carbonate, conglomerate, altered limestone Layered, breccia Is
Pegmatite 3 quartz-feldspar and biotite granite Intrudes
Mafic flow breccia 4 Feldspar and biotite and /or hornblend Foliated Adjacent

Mineralization Comments

Feb 26, 2024 (Nazha Sabiri) - Diamond drilling revealed pyrolusite and blebs of pyrite in limestone units, hematite in granitic units, brecciated and hematite altered sections in both granitic and limestone units. Granitic units were subject to kaolinite, phlogopite and probable chlorite alteration. (31D09NW2002). Some of the mafic metavolcanic outcrops exhibited magnetic properties attributed to the presence of finely dispersed magnetite. Sporadic specks or patches of sulphides, predominantly chalcopyrite with occasional pyrrhotite and potentially minor bornite, were detected in two of the metavolcanics outcrops within the property. (31D09NW2003).
