Access Description: Marl underlies a small lake and marsh in lot 31, conc. XVIII, in the northwest part of the township.
1934: 5 claims staked and White Valley Mines Limited was formed to develop the property. 1939: Company's name changed to White Valley Chemicals Limited. 1940: 900 tons of whiting was sold for $9,600. 1944: Property purchased by Chem-Ore Mines (no production recorded). A plant was constructed to produce 50-80 tons of product per day.
