Access Description: 2.0 km NW of Bat Lake. East of Highway 35 along Horseshoe Lake road.
Early 1940s: 40,000 tons of fine- to coarse-grained pink granite gneiss were removed for use in the production of concrete aggregate which was used in the construction of the power dam at Workman Falls operated by the Orillia Water, Light, and Power Commission (OFR 5678, p114).
