1955 : Straatmat Ltd carried out a diamond drilling programme on lots 4 and 5, con 3 ( the Parish property). There is a trench (5 x 10 m ) on lot 5; however, there is no AFRO. Grab samples gave no anomalous U or Th values (in pegmatite) in 1986. On strike with this work, about 2 km N, is a trench where 20x background scint values have been found. Both of these locations ( and properties held by Silver Acorn to the W) lie in an airborne gamma spectometric anomaly.

Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - The workings on lot 5 (trench and holes) are located in a series of allanite-diopside-bearing pegmatite veins in marble breccia of the Denna Lake Structural Complex, adjacent to a late NNW-trending fault. The setting to the N is similar.
