Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - A zone of weathered sulphides underlies a gossan cap 30-130 cm (1-4 ft) thick over an area 30 x 3 m (110 x 50 + ft). Pyrite occurs with pyrrhotite (50 -75 % of the groundmass) with a little magnetite. The host rock is silicified marble. Average assay of 9 samples (1943) gave 42.43 % S, no Au or Ni and trace Ag. On lot 11, con 18 there is a report of an opening in which pyrrhotite occurs in marble as 'grains or little strings, associated with graphite, serpentine, tourmaline and other minerals' (1910).
