Circa 1892-3 : a small pit - possibly about 2 x 5 m, almost completely filled in and overgrown.
Province: Grenville
Geological Age: Mesoproterozoic
Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - A pit sampled in 1892-3 contained lollingite with a little po and assayed 2.85 % Co, 70.11 % As and 24.41 % Fe. A pit was sunk in the S end of the lot at the contact of marble and rusty gneiss and contained py and considerable po (trace Co) (1894). A pit sampled in 1984 contained calc-silicate rocks and pegmatite - it assayed 50 ppm Co, 110 ppm Cu and trace Ag. These pits may all be different - lollingite was identified from only 1 of them (1892-3).
