Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - The area is underlain by gneissic granodiorite of the Union Lake pluton and is cut by pegmatite dykes. No mineralization was found by Belra, other than disseminated flakes of molybdenite in the pits in a pegmatite. In 1984 the pits could not be located but disseminated molybdenite was again found - on lot 17, con 6. The area was explored to follow up the idea that uranium mineralization might be associated with major shear zones (as it appears to be in a showing in Snowdon Township, to the N) - and 2 major lineaments appear to run through this property. On the S half of lot 24, con 15 are 2 anomalous radioactive areas in a pegmatite. There is spotty radioactivity but no mineralization.
