Lithology Comments

Oct 30, 2019 (Sheree Hinz) - The zinc occurrences lie within the Denna Lake Structural Complex, a 2.5 to 6 km wide belt of predominantly marble and marble tectonic breccia that trends northerly immediately east of the Central Metasedimentary Belt Boundary Zone which separates the Composite Arc Belt from the Central Gneiss Belt. The marble tectonic breccias of the Denna Lake Structural Complex consist of rounded to sub-rounded clasts from tens of centimetres to hundreds of metres in size, of siliceous clastic metasedimentary rocks, amphibolites, calc-silicate rocks, layered marbles, and granitic rocks within a white to pink, calcitic marble matrix. Dolomitic and calcitic marbles also occur as layers, lenses, and large blocks within the area of marble breccia. A variety of siliceous, clastic metasedimentary rocks, including quartz arenites, wackes and rusty-weathering schists, are interlayered with the marbles. Dolomitic marble observed during the 2018 property examination is white, coarse-grained, and may contain dark green to brown serpentine, green diopside, white tremolite, and traces of graphite. Serpentine was observed primarily in marble structurally underlying and close to the zinc-bearing zone.

Mineralization Comments

Oct 30, 2019 (Sheree Hinz) - A visually estimated 2-5% sphalerite in dolomitic marble was observed during a field visit. Grab sample by Alar Soever and Robert Jackson in 1991 returned an assay of 5.43% Zn. Soil geochemical results returned up to 1916ppm Zn and multiple values greater than 1000ppm Zn. During a 2018 property examination, marbles reacting to zinc zap were collected with both samples returned zinc assays of greater than 0.8% Zn.
