Jan 27, 2017 (A Wilson) - Nepheline-bearing rocks occur sporadically in a narrow belt, up to 3 chains in width extending eastward from appoint 8 chains west of Laronde Creek towards the metagabbro ridge to the east of the creek and contiuin as a fringing belt along the northwestern base of the ridge. The band of nepheline rocks is bounded on the north by graphitic marble. To the west of Laronde Creek, the rocks to the south are biotite syenite gneiss Immediately east of Laronde Creek the exposures are rare but graphitic marble is again encountered. Throughout most of their length, the nepheline rocks dip southeast under the metagabbro at about 40º, locally the dip is as high as 60º and, at the northern end 30-35º.
