Feb 03, 2017 (A Wilson) - Trenches within a stripped area 200 by 300 gave Geiger readings of 7 to 110 times background. Bulk samples assayed 0.05, 0.08 and 0.21% U3O8 and 0.30, 0.77, and 1.52% Th respectively. Uranothorite occurs with pyroxene concentrations in the granite or granite gneiss. Uranothorite or thorite also occurs in pods of pyroence marble or lenses of calcite in the marble.
