Nov 06, 2013 (A Wilson) - Graphite is found in white to grey crystalline calcitic marble containing 20-60% siliceous impurities. The marble commonly contains thin intercalated units of amphibole-rich metasedimentary rocks.

Nov 06, 2013 (A Wilson) - The limestone contains 0.5 to 1% disseminated graphite in flakes 1/20 of an inch in diameter, but locally on joints and slips cutting across the bedding the graphite forms 10%. Pegmatite stringers along the back of the pit contain graphite flakes up to ¼ of an inch in diameter.
