Exploration History

1922-1924: Industrial Minerals Corporation of Canada, Limited – an open cut 30 by 50 ft. extends 2/3 of the way down the southwest face of a rock ridge 50 feet high. The company operated this property with a production of 534 tons of second-grade feldspar.

Lithology Comments

Feb 01, 2017 (A Wilson) - A single pit was opened on a dyke consisting of pink graphic granite carrying considerable disseminated pyroxene. Satterly (1943b p. 30) describes a trench 14 m by 3 m by 1 m deep that was sunk upon a syenite pegmatite; the pegmatite contains pink feldspar, 10-cm wide biotite books and tourmaline crystals up to 8 cm across.
