Mineralization Comments

Feb 11, 2017 (A Wilson) - A widely disseminated accessory mineral in granitic and pegmatitic rocks, monazite was found sparsely distributed in calcite at the property of Desmont Mining Corporation Limited near Wilberforce. It occurs as yellow, amber and orange transparent to translucent, vitreous to resinous finely granular masses embedded in cream-white to salmon-pink massive calcite.


Dec 07, 2005 (D Laidlaw) - Also Fluoborite (white powdery patches) occurs sparingly with orange chondrodite, colourless to light yellow, green and grey tremolite, green serpentine, amber mica, blue apapite, pyrite and graphite in crystalline limestone (GSC Paper 77-1A, P.337).
