Feb 01, 2017 (A Wilson) - Frechette described this property. Several mound-shaped iron ochre deposits cover a total area of about 0.4 ha. Ochre apparently was leached from pyrite-bearing quartzite or amphibolite. The largest mound covers about 93 square m. Considerable tonnage of iron ochre, suitable for production of red oxide or for gas purification, might be obtained from the site.
