Point Location Description: ' St ' dot symbol on E side of Haliburton.
Location Method: Conversion from MDI
Access Description: Located at the E end of Haliburton, in Block W, on the N shore of Drag River. There is a smaller quarry, 250 yds E of this one (1938).
1914-1942 : opened by Bolender Brothers. The quarry was 160 ft long in 1917, extending 120 ft into the N side of a hill. It produced poultry grit, terrazzo chips, stucco dash and artificial stone. Between 40,000 and 60,000 tons is estimated to have been removed from a 1 acre site. Today it is 300 x 100 ft with a 30 ft face and houses close by.

Geological Age: Mesoproterozoic
Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - A fine-medium grained white dolomitic marble with diopside and serpentine streaks and lenses as well as micaceous zones. The dolomite has an exposed width of 250 ft. Sample analysis in IMR #16 (1964).
