Jan 10, 2012 (A Wilson) - The quarry acted as an on demand site for extraction of road-building material. The quarry production was reportedly 150 tons. As of 1977, about 150 tons of medium- to coarse-grained gneiss had been removed from a quarry 92 m south of Vankoughnet Road. The quarry is 9 m high and 61 m long. Rock breaks poorly along foliation and has highly variable texture.
