Apr 15, 2011 (A Wilson) - A large intrusion of dioritic to gabbro composition has been identified north of Leonard Lake. Texturally, the outcrops are described as augen textured to dioritic. The intrusion locally grades into andesine anorthosite. The primary igneous textures are absent or poorly preserved
Apr 15, 2011 (A Wilson) - A thin section examined by D. F. Hewitt returned a noritic chemistry. It contained 45% labradorite, 49% hypersthene, 1% hornblende, 2% biotite, 3% magnetite and minor apatite.
