Apr 15, 2011 (A Wilson) - The host unit is described as a garnetiferous, gneissic monzodiorite with laminated structure and metamorphic fabric. Contains veins of quartzo-feldspathic material, and discontinuous amphibolite layers. The graphite is within a zone of semipelitic and pelitic gneiss that extends along the peninsulas and islands of Lake Muskoka from point Carling to Bracebridge.
