Jan 04, 2012 (A Wilson) - The quarry face is 6 to 10 feet high and 60 feet long. Grey flat-lying biotite paragneiss is cut by pink granitic strings. Bedding seams are 8 to 24 inches apart and the stone is quarried in massive blocks.
Jan 04, 2012 (A Wilson) - The quarry area occupies a 30 metre stretch along a low northeast-trending ridge. The rock appears to be extensive with abundant outcrop showing along the ridge. Approximately 120 cubic metres has been quarried. Veneer, dry wall stone and ashlar was quarried from this site.
