Apr 04, 2011 (A Wilson) - The area has been mapped as a fault zone in grey gneiss. Amphibolitic boudins and discontinuous layers of amphibolite have been observed in the area. Marmot and Johnston identified this as an undeformed gabbro. It occurs as a series of outcrops up to 5 m high along a north-facing slope. The joint spacing is moderate (1-2 m) and irregular. The gabbro is consistently medium grained.
