Location Method: Conversion from MDI

Access Description: The workings are located 200 to 300 m north of the northeast arm of Fletcher Lake between Bloody Lake and Poorhouse Lake. Access is gained by following a hydro line from a gate located at the end of a cottage road on the east side of Fletcher Lake. Follow the hydro line north for approximately 250 m to where the line turns 90 degrees towards the west. The pits are located on a ridge trending northeast from this corner, the nearest being 10 m from the corner.

Nov 23, 2020 (Sheree Hinz) - The country rock consists of a flat-lying medium grained hornblende, biotite gneiss. A quartz-rich zoned pegmatite strikes 255 degrees and dips steeply to the north. The pits have been sunk in this pegmatite.

Mineralization Comments

Nov 23, 2020 (Sheree Hinz) - Pyrite and magnetite occur in feldspathic parts of the pegmatite. Jack Cunningham of Dorset reported that values of $10/ton Au were obtained in 1890.
