Feb 24, 2012 (A Wilson) - A pink granite pegmatite dike, 8 to 20 feet wide and 1000 feet long, contains free quartz, large, thin sheets of black mica, nodules of altered magnetite, and some euxenite.

Mineralization Comments

Feb 24, 2012 (A Wilson) - Two selected samples collected by Sabine Uranium Mines in 1956-57, assayed 2.33 and 5.652 U3O8. The euxenite occurs in masses up to 4 inches in diameter. Analysis of the euxenite returned 22.96% TiO2, 28.62% Cb2O5, 3.94% ThO2, 0.44% (Ce,La,Di)2 O5,(Yt,Er)2O3.
