Access Description: Take Yonge Street east from Burks Falls for 15.7km (becomes the Sandy Lake road). Turn nrtheast on loon Lake Road north and follow for 4.6km keeping to left. Traverse 1100m southwest to the Tea Lake Creek. Traverse south along the edge of Tea Lake to the trail.



Exploration History

Pre-1942 a test pit, 2.3x2m, was sunk at the base of 12,2m cliff. Post 1942 (worked in last 15 years) another pit was excavated and 30 tonnes of material was removed.

Dec 14, 2011 (A Wilson) - A series of hornblende, biotite and felsic gneisses occur within the general area. Minor pegmatite dikes are found cutting the gneisses.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 14, 2011 (A Wilson) - Sulphide mineralization is restricted to the hornblende gneisses. A sample of gneiss containing 5-10% sulphides returned: 180 ppm Cu, 3 ppm Pb, 12 ppm Zn. Sample 81-RK-46 taken from a non-mineralized section of hornblende gneiss assayed 14 ppm Cu, 3 ppm Pb, 40 ppm Zn, 0.2 ppm Ag, 5 ppb Au.
