Access Description: From Magnetewan, highway 560 east approximately 18km to Wisemans Corners. Turn southwest on Midlethian Road and follow for 2.5km at the "Ryerson Natural Stone" sign. Main quarry is located ~200m northwest of the driveway entrance.

1941: A. Jeffery - stripping. Circa 1993: Ryerson Natual Stone Quarry - quarrying for flagstone

Jan 04, 2012 (A Wilson) - The gneiss has been classified as a garnet-biotite-hornblende gneiss. The gneiss has been exposed in widths varying from 30-50 feet




Mineralization Comments

Jan 04, 2012 (A Wilson) - The garnets range from ¼ inch to 1 inch in size. The crystals are rounded and have a sugary texture.
