Access Description: From Magnetawan, take hwy 520 for 5.3km to Lake Cecebe Road. Turn south and follow for 0.9km to the long drive of Mr. King. Follow west to end of driveway. Open cut is located on large outcrop northwest of garage ~75m overlooking lake Cecebe.



Exploration History

1921: Wheeling Feldspar Company incorporated to exploit the property. 1948: Burks Falls Feldspar Syndicate Limited - mining.

Feb 10, 2011 (A Wilson) - The pegmatite strikes N10E and could be traced for over a quarter of a mile. The greatest width was 50 feet.

Mineralization Comments

Feb 10, 2011 (A Wilson) - The biotite pegmatite dike has occasional coarse-grained areas containing feldspar crystals up to 1 foot in diameter, and quartz masses with a maximum diameter of 2 feet. Some of the feldspar has graphic intergrowths of quartz. The entire output of the pit was reportedly used for stucco purposes.
