Feb 10, 2011 (A Wilson) - The predominant peat type found in this deposit is sphagnum peat. The surface layer is mostly sphagnum with some sedge. Below the surficial layer, the peat layers at both sites are sphagnum - dominated peats with the exception of the based layer at site RI which is shrubby-sedge peat.
