Sep 05, 2013 (A Wilson) - The occurrence is hosted within bands and inclusions of hornblende gneiss which are found within contorted crystalline limestone. The gneissic inclusions are few in number and there is very little graphite within the limestone.

Sep 05, 2013 (A Wilson) - Large flakes of graphite (up to 1 inch) are found within hornblende gneiss. Most of the graphite is on the scale of ¼ inch in diameter. Additional graphite was observed within hornblende gneiss inclusions within limestone on the shore of Old Mans (Bilsland Lake) Lake.
