Jan 04, 2012 (A Wilson) - The rocks in the area consist of a series of steeply dipping gneisses ranging from amphibolitic to quartzofeldspathic. Rusty carbonate layers with 5 - 10% sulphides and 2% magnetite occur within the gneisses in a l metre thick zone.

OGS sample 81-RK-67 (trench) assayed 3500 ppm Cu, 2 ppm Pb, 58 ppm Zn, 3.1 ppm Ag, 100 ppm Au, 3 ppm As. Sample 81-RK-68 (trench) assayed 72 ppm Cu, 75 ppm Zn, 3.7 ppm Ag, 310 ppb Au, 4 ppm As. Sample 81-RK-69 (trench) assayed 480 ppm Cu, 30 ppm Zn. Sample 81-RK-71 (dump) assayed 394 ppm Cu, 43 ppm Zn, 10 ppb Au, 3 ppm As.
